January 2026 began with my first rural school visit to celebrate the first graders' completion of the Appleman reading series. This year my husband tagged along and monitored the fossil center. Now the class is preparing story manuscripts for me to publish. I'm excited to read their tales and love their enthusiasm for creating books. #ruralschools
